Along Sardinia

You don’t have a car but want to visit the beauty of Olbia, the Emerald Coast, the Golfo degli Aranci and La Maddalena. Solution? Book a private tour to discover the coasts, to visit the towns and the beaches of north-eastern Sardinia. But maybe that’s not enough. Maybe you need a few more days. Maybe you need to plan a real tour of the Emerald Coast. Just like the one we have organized with Sardinia Magic Travel: 4 days walking around the fishing villages of Sardinia. The goal? Sea and relaxation.

1° Day: Porto Cervo, Baja Sardinia

The first day of our tour provides for the arrival in Olbia and the visit of the Romanesque Basilica di San Simplicio, one of the most important religious monuments of northern Sardinia. Soon after we set off to the Emerald Coast, the coastal area of the territory of Arzachena, which has become a pleasant retreat for the international jet set. After lunch, you start the tour through the towns of this spectacular corner of Sardinia: the first stop-over is Baja Sardinia, a hamlet of Arzachena and a popular seaside resort: here you will find beaches with fine sand
that will leave you breathless. You will easily reach Porto Cervo, the symbol of the dolce vita in Sardinia. Porto Cervo is the centre of the Emerald Coast, the heart of the movida. Here you will find trendy nightclubs, always crowded beaches; the tourist port is a parade of yachts: if you want to see and enjoy the VIP tourism, this is the right place. At the end of the day, however, you will return to the hotel.

2° Day: La Maddalena, Caprera, Arzachena

The second day begins with a trip towards Palau to reach a masterpiece of nature: the islands of La Maddalena and Caprera. Here, time seems to stand still and nature preserves treasures of unprecedented beauty. In Caprera you can visit the Garibaldi Museum, the hero of two worlds who spent the last years of his life in the famous “white house”. After lunch there is the stop-over you have been waiting for: Arzachena, the most populous town of the Gallura. Do not miss a visit of the Tomba dei Giganti, a funeral monument of the nuragic age reminiscent of the ancient history of this land. After Arzachena you will return to the hotel for dinner.

3° Day: Santa Teresa di Gallura, Capo Testa

The tour continues with a stop-over in Santa Teresa di Gallura, extreme north of Sardinia. Only the Bocche di Bonifacio separate Santa Teresa from Corsica: here the sea has a unique colour, the beaches look like lagoons surrounded by the – sometimes severe – wilderness of Sardinia. A few kilometres from Santa Teresa di Gallura there is another place worth a visit: Capo Testa, that is an island transformed into a peninsula reminiscent of, once again, the beauty of this land. Do not miss a visit of the granite coasts and the most popular beaches: the Rena di Ponente and the Rena di Levante, to be chosen according to the wind, which arise on the isthmus connecting Capo Testa to Sardinia.

4° Day: Capo Caccia

Last day dedicated to a single place, a special place: Capo Caccia, a promontory overlooking the bay of Alghero. Around this majestic limestone bastion there are numerous caves, once inhabited by various specimens of monk seal. On request it is possible to visit the Grotta di Nettuno, accessible only under favourable weather conditions. Otherwise there is still the beautiful landscape that can be seen from Capo Caccia: the Gulf of Alghero and the island of Foradada form a sight that will leave you breathless.
